Dual Barrel Recoil?
Well, as some of you may know, RA2 has barrel recoil functionality. This means that when the weapon is fired, the barrel retracts and then back into position again. This is most visible on the Gran Cannon.
It only works if you have a different voxel file with the barrel (different from both the turret and the body)
However, normally this is used just with one gun.
Would it be possible that dual-barreled tanks have two independently working barrels, for example? As, they fire from one and it retracts, then from the other and it retracts as well. Creating a nice effect. Specially for big tanks, apoc or mammoth-like tanks.
Any thoughs on this? I cannot seem of thinking a way for it to happen. All I can get is to make both barrels together but then they retract always at the same time and both with every shot. _________________
Chargeturret would be funny, making the muzzle anims on the voxels xD, but the problem is this should be simultaneous to the fire, which it would not be.
One could circunvent this comewhat using invisible proyectiles with Burst=2, the fire would look "delayed hit" which fir cannons is OK, but it is the only way (visible projectiles would be off with firing animation) _________________
