and it runs on my machine... really choppy, but it runs none the less... however (a bit off topic for CnC Chat forums... sorry, you may wish to move to game chat forums) I recently bought Emperor battle for dune... and I can't get teh damn thing to work!

Every time I try and start a game it shows the launcher, and then when it disappears you would expect the game to load correct? well it doesn't it just returns to my desktop... I think it is video card proplems, but doesn't generals use the same, if not more advanced visual engine as EBFD? I dunno... I can't figure it out, I've downloaded and installed the latest update for EBFD, and that didn't seem to do any help at all... if you think you can help me please try... thank you!

I get the exact same problem with my emperor: bfd
People said if i uninstall my norton anti virus crap it will work. Never tried it though.

oh... maby that is the prob... I've got norton too... I ran out of the subscription, and am not going to pay agian... but it is still nice to have... hmm the priorities...

well... a couple of weeks ago, I uninstalled Nortan to try and get emperor working. It didn't work, and even though I copyed the files to a cd, when I put them back on my hd nortan wouldn't work either. But for X-mas I got a new v-card, and now I can run emperor Brilliantly, however... I have no protection from viruses... the price I pay...

Emperor is great though! I love it...

you actually gained a much faster comp... remember that Norton is not efficient at many of the new viruses, unless it auto updates constantly... but by running on background, Norton steals a lot of your system's resources, specially processor... so, your system might be much faster now. Just be carefull with emails and check your system periodically Wink.

lol that reminds me I need to reinstall norton. it's nice I pretty much have an unlimited free subscription to the auto update since evry time I format my HD my subscription restarts. Hope ya have fun with EBFD
