I THINK HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE WRONG PALETTE? in xcc mixer
he has no install 2 red alert...... so palet are wrong, pls help goby.........

HG_SCIPCION, I have solution:
SINCE U HAVE PROBLEM WITH WRONG PALETTE? in xcc mixer
it is most likely coz u have no install red alert 2 in ur computer ....... and seems that xcc read palettes straight from mix ..........


there has no folder for custom pal ........... and u have much problems ...... in ur xcc mixer ............

Now on English: So, install god damn RA2 because it reads palettes in mixes


Now on your language:
See, my red alert 2 is install in my computer...... and I do not have much problems ........ in my xcc mixer

This... is very helpful... jajajaja... Wink ggg...

On-topic, it is just different color. It doesn't necessarily mean that it is in wrong palette because of the view shown in the xcc mixer. What you put in vxl file is same as the pal file as SHOWN IN-GAME or SHOWN FROM OS PAL EDITOR.

Masterhaosis, I have that same problem and it didn't bother me at all. Anything that I design from vxl to shp using these programs and it is palettes job to be sure these matches to it and shows up in-game properly.

Thats weird. I never had such problem.
But I had different problem with XCC recently. It just stops loading mixes (it stucks at reading .... some mix or big file_ and when you try to click on something, program crashed. I had to install-unninstal few times it until I got it working.

MasterHaosis, yes, of course, I'm talking about the original model. But I (off-topic) don't understand why HUGE EPIC units are so popular. Why not to use the Siege Tank or Warhound or (ohmygod!) the mega-epic Widow Mine (the mine that burrows and launches AA rockets every 40 secs)?

Are all those from Star Craft?
I haven't play game for long time, maybe few times overall in past, with Zergs.

Well I do not know why huge epic units are popular, but you can always resize them to fit your desired size if you want.

Really good question, and good eyes man.
if that unit is from Star Craft, I wonder how did he get it into mix file as voxel.
Lets ask him.

The way StarCraft is designed, battlecruisers are hardly considered HUGE EPIC units. As a matter of fact, besides being a sponge for soaking damage and a flying Yamato Cannon, BCs are currently quite weak. The main problem is that their cost makes them a unit that should realistically not be built en-masse, but in small numbers they are simply not impactful enough to warrant their cost.

If you are on 5 rax 2 fac with a reactor starport going marine tank medivac, teching into fusion core and sacrificing the reactor build queue for a tech lab to just get a couple battlecruisers out is going to be a massive waste of minerals, gas, and time. You could put those resources to much greater use by simply making more marines, tanks, and medivacs.

Or better yet: teching into something that's actually useful, like ghosts.

It's not quite that way in Brood War. You can mass BCs and go on a rapefest. Not too difficult either. Least... I did back in the day.

the model is of Star Craft 2, but no is for my mod..... is test...
I have the MPQ editor of archives of blizzard....
and I extract the archive....

and convert the model I use (3dsvxl) converter... In unknow the name....
and finish....
in the bigs units is necesary Shp's for more realism...... Very Happy
