My cameos only works in Firestorm mode.

I noticed yesterday that when I play TS in TS mode my cameos dosent show up. They works perfectly when I run in FS mode, however. Anyone have any idea how to solve this?

I have my cameos inside e02sc01.mix and e02sc02.mix files (makes them side dependent so that I can have different ones for GDI and Nod) that are inside an expand02.mix file. The art.ini file pointing to the cameos and all the other mod-files are in the expand02.mix.

hmm that's weird the e02sc mixes should have higher priority than the e01sc's that come with FS..
hmm try extracting these mixed from the expand02.mix.

is it beacuse of newer version patch for ? that could be the problem. just like in your other post

As you probably know, I added a fix for that. The patch.mix file gets disabled when you enable my mod now. (and re-enabled when you disable it) So there is no problems with that anymore.

hmm... sorry to go a bit off-topic... but a guy sent me a beta of his mod to put up at cnc central... but whenever I try to play it... NOTHING HAPPENS, I think it is cuz his YR is v1.0... although I can't be sure.. can you send me a pm or... start a new thread describing how to make this patch thingy... so I can notify this guy how to do so and get him to fix his mod for me... thanks

Back ontopic now... I think its cuz you used the Art.ini out of FS and not TS so it is compatable with FS, but not TS where as if you used the TS art.ini then it would be compatable with both... that is what I think... but I've been told by teachers everywere that I'm not a thinking person...

I guess the patch is made by renaming the expandmx01.mix into something like dummy.max, so it'd be ignored by the game.

I am using the ts art.ini. Infact, I use TS inis for everything except two units. (and they are not the units the cameos are for)

When it comes to TS, you do it by renaming patch.mix into something else. (and thus disable it) Disabling the Firestorm expansion for TS would not work. (I guess it is the same for RA2 and YR) I added a few lines to the .bat files that comes with my mod so that they scan the dir they are in for patch.mix and then, if found, renames it.

This is the content of my enable and disable files: (note that these are a little newer than the ones in the patch) (cosmetic changes only)
