Hello. I am a long time modder (since before 2003) and a looooong time lurker but I was hoping I could get some help from you guys with a .shp I downloaded from this forum.

I am using the Nod Heavy gunner from this link :

http://ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9538&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=b1dcb9e738c2ff5e2a860d01a6a6a451

Everything about it is perfect except for the shooting animations. They exist in the .shp but in game (using the E1sequence) it just flails around using random frames.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

(I've attached the .shp to this thread for convenience)

Since it is a custom infantry, you have to create a custom sequence in art.ini and then assign this sequence to the unit.

For that open the SHP with SHP Builder and check the frames and duration of the anim. (Note: SHP Builder counts frames from 1, while the sequence is 0 based, so you have to subtract 1 from the frame number shown in SHP Builder)

e.g. Frame 165 in SHP Builder shows the start of the Down anims. So you have to use 164 for Down in the sequence, with the length of 2 frames.
Down=164,2,2

The standing Up anim starts after that at 181 in SHP Builder, thus 180 in the sequence.
Up=180,2,2

Firing anim starts at 205 in SHP Builder, thus 204 in sequence and it is 6 frames long
FireUp=204,6,6

Same way with prone firing anim
FireProne=252,6,6

Thank you for going out of your way to pinpoint the exact frames I needed!

Also, thank you for teaching me how to do it myself from now on! Your fix worked perfectly!
