I want to tell the good news, launched new server game RED ALERT 2 and Yuri Revenge.
Now you can play for FREE online in your favorite game)
All you need is to download our version of the game, start the game and enjoy the battles)

You know XWIS is still online and cncnet gives pretty much perfect online performance right?
It's not like another YR server wouldn't be welcome but this badly written and pretty uninformative advertisement doesn't say anything but 'avoid' IMO. The fact you have to download THEIR version of the game makes it seem pretty dodgy. QUICK_EDIT

IIRC XWIS version doesn't have Yuri Taunts and no Campaign at all but it pretty much works the same as the Original YR & RA2 _________________ ~ Excelsior ~ QUICK_EDIT

The site ra2.in exists very long time, earlier we supported hamachi a premium of the room of ra2.in ra2.ru is sure not which know them)
After we decided to refuse, from hamachi as very much it isn't convenient, and game on the server has many advantages!

The difference is: XWIS, XCC and Olaf van der Spek have been around and known to us for long enough for us to trust the site and the software it offers.
How many old school C&C modders do you know who haven't used XCC software at least once?
The message itself, if containing an URL to the XWIS version, would be just as shady. We'd just know we can trust the software because we'd know the source.
In other words: I would be just as suspicious of them telling me "hey, download this software and run it!" if they linked to XWIS, I'd just be able to independently verify that the software is trustworthy, which I'm not in this case.

I know this XWIS version of RA2 is quite polemic.
XWIS is (or was) sponsored by EA. EA has officially redirected WOL to XWIS, so if XWIS redistributes a version of RA2, I do understand that EA consents this decision (although I believe they actually don't know about it).
However, everyone who tried ask EA the permission to transform RA2/YR mods into standalone had their request denied. EA still sells RA2 and YR at the C&C Ultimate Collection. They've never gave away RA2 for free, except as a bonus for those who pre-ordered RA3 under some conditions. So, for these reasons, we don't want to promote a free distribution of this game.
