Hi everyone! I think everyone saw that Google Translated topic about "Russian XWIS". So now I wonder, which files tell the game the server to connect to and what should be on that server for the game to sucessfully connect players through the Internet button to play Quichk Matches and other stuff.

Also, what does SpecialZOverlay= tag do on gates in RA2?

It does not work at all in RA2/YR AFAIK.

It's done through DNS, and it needs to be an IRC server with understanding of special keywords.
