I was looking at replacing the wood bridge in the Urban Setting. If I replace the image there what happens to it in the other settings. I am thinking nothing since its a totally separate format, but I want to be sure with this as I come close to finishing up a few things long over due.....

Nothing, changing the bridge.ubn file will only effect the urban theater.

ok, that is what I was thinking. I have never seen a wood bridge in the urban settting so I'm good. Well, I don't play stock maps....only my own or a mod

Ok, This would be for my mod, the original game crap is irrelevant. The 4 lane roads are the wrong size, they are a 4 cell wide not 3. A bridge head is 5 cell wide 3 cells can be used 2 cells (technically 1/2 a piece) are just for looks. What if I increased the bridge head by on cell, total of 6 wide. Will this work?

You can probably make the bridge head bigger, but the bridge overlays are hardcoded to be 3 cells wide.

Ares can theoretically change everything.
It's just the question whether it's worth the effort. IMO it isn't.
There are two people working on Ares with a shitload of features to be done that are of greater value.

So in short, stop taking Ares for granted with the "even ARES can't change that?"

It's hardcoded to 3 cells for all bridges, changing that isn't a simple INI key that would replace the hardcoded value, the entire logic has to be reworked.

well, the only features i like and use is the custom foundation & custom pal, but other than that i dont think there is anything else......

But the reason I ask about the bridge being made 4 cells, is because the roads are not the proper scale. Roads should be a full 4 cells (4lane) 2 cells 2lane) something the original roads are not, but my roads I have created are proper

Make bridges have 2 lanes & a central partition...

You could also make cliffs that look like bridges, you wont be able to destroy or go under them but you can make them as big as you like.

already doing both of these, lol. I have a topic on here showing the ciff bridge. destroying bridges is a way I cut off the enemy from making a straight run at me, used to.  destroying bridges is pointless till I can get the AI to repair them in SPM and MPM
