C4 explosion animations won't change

Subject description: Not hardcoded are they?

I have been trying to change the explosions when C4 is used on a building. so i gave C4Warhead my new warhead (C4WH) and changed the AnimList to my new explosion animations, but the animations don't change ingame.

Are the C4 explosion animations hardcoded, the C4 warhead isn't is it?

EDIT: also when i set Sparky to no on my C4WH, it still leave flames behind after destroying a buildings. Is C4Warhead hardcoded to HE?

Afaik C4 is indeed hardcoded to use the HE warhead.

strange, i modifed HE to sparky=no and my new animations but they still don't change ingame

AFAIK, C4 isn't using any animation at all. The explosions you see are those from the exploding building, nothing else.

but Ti has new ones as far as i know, or are they replaced originals. also why won't sparky go off then

TI has every building explosion replaced. It's not only a C4 change.

What do you mean with "Sparky go off"? Sparky is a key which says nothing else than, set the building on fire or don't set it on fire, when it changes from green to yellow health or from yellow to red status. (It also says if trees should be set on fire when hit)
Since C4 is an absolute destroyer, there is no fire set at all. The building is instantly destroyed, so the key Sparky doesn't makes any difference.

I mean if i set sparky to no, surely it shouldn't leave flames after the c4 destroys the building.

Sparky has nothing to do with that.
It's the explosion animations themselves which spawn the flames since most have in art.ini Scorch=yes or Flamer=yes

In addition does the key OnFire in the AudioVisual section tell the game, which flames should be created on buildings when they change the health state from green to yellow and yellow to red.

Really,  I thought something like that would be the case, thanks for clearing that up for me, now that makes sense. Sparky is a tag that makes flames show up on a building or whatever when it is damged by the weapon (warhead) but not when it is destroyed. And all this time i though sparky and flamer did the same thing.
