Lybian Mini Nuclear Reactor
Hello guys.
I decided to make a side specific power plant for Lybia.It's a small nuclear Reactor.This is actually the very first building that i made.
So far i only have the active frame.
The doors and chimneys don't really suit it. Better make some straigt doors and like 2 thicker chimneys. But otherwise it's good for the first building.
Also, can you put the brick texture here baceuse it looks like soviet bricks. _________________

If i was to make a full nuclear reactor with every single detail, the building would be far too big.And this is just a game... So it shouldn't be that big of deal.Besides it's a small nuclear reactor. QUICK_EDIT

I removed the stairs.I replaced them with a ladder.It's supposed to look better now.
I'm still coming up with an idea of how to fix these bent doors.Problem is the all the doors found on soviet buildings are bent.But, i can still fix it somehow. QUICK_EDIT
Much better now. But the hammer and sickle on the door looks innatural. You should make it have the same shape as the door (the lines) and make it the right perspective _________________

I think the perspective is correct, the fact that the hammer and sickle aren't touched up correctly, makes it look this way..I will touch up the hammer and sickle, the way you said it then it will look alot better..Thanks for the suggestion. QUICK_EDIT

I have to say the building looks terrible. You have the tower on the second floor of a building with access underneath.... If you want a mini reactor I would suggest trying a 3 by4 foundation. You don't have to go into great detail, but lets be a little more creative. This building is bad, start over. QUICK_EDIT
I could start over.But a 3 by 4 is too big.A power plant should not take that much space in a player's base.Look at the vanilla power plants.I have to keep it as small as possible.
Plus, as noodles said, the cooling tower is the biggest identifier for a nuclear reactor.Making a reactor with all these details, will result in a ridiculously big building.But i can make a reactor with the tower on ground level, it's easier than this.But i need more opinions about it, to finalize my decision about continuing or starting over. coal-fired power plants have the same cooling tower and look just like a nuclear plant. fix the stairs and it will look ok. _________________ Free Tibed!

Well, In my honest opinion it looks like crap. You need to redesign the building if you want to use the cooling towers. Did you bother to look at any pictures of power plants? apparently not..... you are concerned with the size? Military bases are basically a mobile base, they are not really designed as a permanent structure. Generators! thats what they use, whether its small or a truck size.
I did indeed look at pictures before.But, i ignored the size of the nuke plant,so i came up with this idea, which apparently is not working out so well.
I will restart, but i really have a feeling it will be too big. QUICK_EDIT

Hell, if he goes with such a design then go with it. It does feel as a nuke plant to me and yes, I've been in some. You're arguing on that like if RA2 Nuke Plant needs any water at all.

Forget about size. My uncle has an idea on the size. He figured it out and a cell is 9ft by 9ft by 3.5 feet. Most of the buildings in RA2 are improper scale. And the cliff walls are 14ft high. People worry bout detail you can see, but its better to not. Just make a building and forget showing detail because the scale of detail is off. most vehicles are close to scale, but compare to the buildings they are way off. QUICK_EDIT

Actually, i really take detail into consideration.I like buildings that have alot of detail, and it's feels good looking at them.Some people ignore detail because they just look at the building for identification purposes only.That's why i'm stressing on the detail of this nuke plant. QUICK_EDIT

Fuck realism. Realism would mean you wouldn't be allowed to instantly build a nuclear reactor in the middle of a war zone.
Go with what looks good, fits the faction aesthetic, displays its purpose identifiably, and has a different silhouette to anything else. Nothing else really matters. QUICK_EDIT
C&C is far from realistic. I've just built a power plant for 300 quid in about 10 seconds and it's suddenly just appeared out of the ground near my base QUICK_EDIT
