Lets Talk ELECTRONIC Music
Subject description: Electro, Chiptune, Trance, Dubstep, D&B, EDM, etc.
So this is a place where we (As in everybody that participates here) will create a list of nice tracks...
Some Guidelines:
1. Must be some kind of Electro or Electro sub-genre. (Chiptune counts)
2. Must be a Soundcloud link
3. Must not be skrillex... skrillex remixes are acceptable, so long as they don't resemble the style of skrillex... (I personally dislike skrillex after finding much superior music.)
4. Must be somebody who is smaller (i.e., no Diplo, no Skrillex, no Modestep etc.(If they are within the following sites/producers, they count; EDM.com, DropTheBassline.com and Monstercat))

First off, Killing Diplo or Skrillex and saying "you can't have mainstream because I don't like it" is pretty retarded. If you're gonna talk music, you need to talk *ALL* music. Not just what you want to hear.
Personally, I've been listening to:
Revolution: RUN DMT mix by Diplo feat. Faustix & Kai

"I'm scared to death when I see them arrive
Infected eyes red, staring at me
The time has come for retribution
Now they're counting my actions
The cries and shouts are confusing me
Falling in disgrace, I don't want to go now
And I am facing them, it seems they recognize me
It's too late for regrets
They're growing darker while approaching me, creeping
Prowling vultures in the sky
Devoured by a ravening beast
Raised, fallen from the dead
Endure the pain they're giving me slow
Flashes of life blurred by suffering
Distant reminder of funeral piles
Thousands of people dying
I'm taking back all the pain distributed
Through ages unconscious
My brain scattered, feed habitants of this cage
Consuming my heart
I've killed so many, I don't want to count
I spent a life raping the world
both far and near before you now I come, please help
creator, faultless one!"
Haha, ^^This poor sap got owned by Yama's Messenger's. He's weak, but what a strong song! _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate!

Pretty much every topic this gitstop or whatever guy posts goes to crap, and I'm just doing what I do... mainly going with what's "mainstream" yo. #YOLO. _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
I love ztyping with you lot. It's often way too easy.

well here yah go. It's ztyping epic and it has no vocals. Instrumental to the max. Pop some acid, get the doobie, crack the beer, and LISTEN, or I WILL ztype with you MOAR AND MOAR:
This song is one for the ages. At least listen to the first 3 an a half minutes. If you do I will give you money.
Also, this song:
"Where the slime live
Where the slime breed
When the wind blows
And the cradle falls....down
Their poison fingers that wrote the poison lines
Their poison lingers
What a tragedy, HAH! when their fingers are removed
Where the slime live
Where the slime live
Where the slime live
(They are the lowest forms of life)
Where the slime breed
(They make a new one too corrupted)
When the wind blows
(The winds of truth are blowing now)
And the cradle falls....down
Their burning dogma
Introducing to our mind - lies
They plot for the total control of the morals
And what a tragedy, HAH! when the "god-heads" are removed.
They crawl, they breed, they hide but we see
They burn
I see the smoke of the funerals rising
God lives in thier heads, now laid to rest
What a sight
As their kingdom comes tumbling down
We burn - the ones with contrite souls be gone!
Long gone are the filthy liars
Long gone are their filthy lies
I know they'll come again some day
Where the slime live and how the slime gets washed away
HAHAHAHAHAHA!" _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate!
You mean any electro song because they're all the same. Though it doesn't seem like most people are posting electro, only electronic music in general which is a different thing entirely. QUICK_EDIT
Nah, the majority of them are different, but you really need to listen to them to find out the differences.
At least it's not pop music. ugh. That music is like people stealing from people who are stealing from people who stole from others. QUICK_EDIT
Only current pop. Proper rock n' roll used to be pop, then so was electro in the 80s. Hopefully people get some taste or we get better musicians who do something to catch people's attention, and then pop music will change again.
I'll post some tracks that are the closest to electro I listen to.
This is a kind of cool synth pop track with some nice soundbites.
Planet P Project did a whole synth pop concept album back in the 80s that I uploaded to YouTube a while ago. Got all the big drums, synths, guitars and odd fantasy story about nuclear holocaust.
Dance with the Dead did some cool tracks on soundcloud but now by their second album are just sounding the same. This is still a nice chilled one though.
But even I can't stomach all this for too long. The compression, constant 4/4 and kick-snare on repeat just drives me crazy. Older electronic music is often a lot easier to listen to and more experimental. QUICK_EDIT
