Tiberian Sun Retro needs mirrors!
Tiberian Sun Retro 1.2 was recently released and it was a success, since it's the best TS mod available in the moment. However, the excessive ammount of demand certainly made TumSun use much more bandwidth than it could. In case you still remember, TumSun was down in november for about 3 weeks due to bandwidth problems and we really hope that it doesnt happen again. Unfortunatelly, here at PPM, we can't help much since last month the whole server had a similar crisis because of another mod that was released. So, if you have a website that doesnt have bandwidth problems, please, talk to SMIFFGIG and mirror the mod.
In other TS Retro news, SMIFFGIG has finally announced the so awaited patch that will fix the remaining bugs of this mod. Here's his words:
"Yes there is a small patch I am going to release shortly, it will fix ALL known bugs and most importantly
Get rid of the Internal Error that randomly occured, i have traced this down after hours of testing and have fixed it *yep no need to clap*
-Fixed warhead of the bazooka, and Mammoth Tank + Mammoth Mk.II missiles, SAM site and other missile weapons
-Excessive map now playable (TSR's best map made by Dad_A_Tude)
-Fixed warhead of railgun to destroy infantry
-Give Nod Deployed MSA the animation that the GDI one has.
-Fixed Disruptor turret positioning
-Fixed Buggy turret positioning
-Change build requirements so the GDI Mobile War Factory can be built
-Fixed Tiberium fiend so no longer becomes a running flame guy on Dogma Day Afternoon map
-EMP charging EVA voice is fixed
-Fixed the fire issue with barracks which causes it to indefinitly stay alight
There will also be a few other little goodies (1 new map, new recon bike image just like in the renders etc)"
At least, the good news in the end is that if TumSun is using over 10gb of bandiwidth daily because of TS Retro is that the mod is being downloaded a lot and TS community is far from dying. QUICK_EDIT
I have unlimited bandwidth at Tiberian Sun Station, i'd be glad to host a mirror. _________________ Webmaster of TiberiumWeb.com Formerly TiberiumSun.com QUICK_EDIT
Which - as I realized yet - would also help in this situation, although the problem was elsewere. But that's off topic - now everything is ok waiting for v.1.21 to apper! :) QUICK_EDIT
