But it's not about convenience. It allows very easy language packs (see Mental Omega: that has a Chinese translation and did have more on previous releases AFAIK). Embedded text in cameos allows you to write whatever you want, so you can shorten the name to one line when the text would take up two or three.

The Text however aligns itself to the left instead of the pseudo super-imposed style in TD,RA1 & RA2 which is usually aligned on the center.

TS Pros:
-Can change cameo text by editing string in CSF without editing each cameos

TS Cons:
-Cannot resize cameo text size
-Cannot change cameo text font in the cameo (because the text font default to game.fnt)

RA2 Pros:
-Can resize cameo text size
-Can change cameo text font in the cameo

RA2 Cons:
-Need to edit each cameo if wanted a new style and if from original WW cameo it needs untexted cameo

CSF on TS? There is no CSF there. You edit the cameo text in rules.ini and similar files.

TS doesn't use CSF. Cameo text comes from rules.ini Name= field.
In TS, cameo text can be disabled in Options/sun.ini and then cameo image can have imprinted text also.
TS cameo are also 4 pixels wider.
