Smiff removed the installer and uninstaller from 1.21. So you have to manually delete mod files from TS directory.

... the mod files are specified in the readme text. anybody capable of reading and pressing del should be able to delete them Wink

I think the internet thing is a good idea, but i'm afraid it's hardcoded.. ofcourse it it possible to have a TS server that only hosts TSR games..

No, it's not possible to block other mods from a personal TS server. The best you can do is to call it TSROL (or anything that reminds it's a Tiberian Sun Retro Online Service. My recomendations that you guys could talk to CnC Reloaded people to try to make a room there called Tiberian Sun Retro (if possible). SMIFFGIG can email England (one of the leaders) through C&C Webbies...

Yeah, but it would be much more convient to have installer because if you make a mistake deleting a file, it might mean you have to reinstall TS.

It's not totally hardcoded. Edit the HOSTS file in windows system drivers and point servserv.westwood.com to IP you want.

Well i just meant a room dedicated to TSR.
And an install prog is indeed easier, also it could be used to set the default online host like Seaman said.

actually I just mad myself an installer for it like I always do. And a server is a bit over the top, but like The DVD said a room would be better.

Seaman... this is just the user part... the server part must also exist and I really have no idea on how it's done...

I was going to plan alot of online tourneys and ladders etc when tsr 1.2 was released

but as TumSun is donw (and i wont a break from the whole thing) I havent.

TSR is still a primarily MPLAY mod at the end of the day, this was the purpose i made the mod in the first place (not reason, but primary purpose, there is a big difference Wink) MPLAY the Skirmish then Single Play is the order of the day and always will be with TSR.

Having a TSR server would be extremely good, i would back it and push it in every way, I may even make the WOL design more TSR and TS'ish.

Anyway I feel the best way for this to happen is to let the mod grow and progress more, I can bet alot of the people at CNC Reloaded dont really know what TSR is.

Although a few hints from TSR fans wouldnt go un-noticed Wink

If you have an installer, use an installer.

What installer do you intend to use?

I use the free clickteams installer personally. But I think a batch file could be cool.

I don't think the Clickteam installer can modify files, can it?

well I've been using it, and as far as I can see it works fine. It puts mod in and I can uninstall it when I want. I can do a real check for you tonight after school though.

Installer VISE. It has been used by companies like Adobe and Microsoft (before MS made Windows Installer).

Last time I tried Clickteam Installer, when I used the registry option for install path, it didn't just remove the mod, it also removed RA2.

What I meant was can you have the Clickteam installer add a line of text to the end of a text file?

That's what I meant by my suggestion of using a batch file earlier too.
