I think he means that the tick tank does not have a turret when it is undeployed. Its all just one model.

I feel its like this, because of the structure of the Tick Tank, the back slopes up, so the turret wouldn't really be able to turn all the way around.

The Tick Tank originally never had a moveable turret when undeployed, ingame. It is the same in Retro, so nothing has been added or removed. Also, the Tick Tank was not built to have the turret to move while undeployed.. think about it, it has a slope right behind it, it can't physically go all the way around.

Some work I've been doing..

I don't know, I'm not sure if it will get that far. I'll give it a try myself, but I can't garentee anything good, as I am not as good with shp's as I am with voxels.

I agree, I feel it is too dark as well, but Smiffgig likes it black. Also, I feel the turret is not that clearly defined from the body, a problem caused by the model being all very dark shades. Confused
And this is just a first attempt, I still plan to do some finishing touches to it. Anything you suggest FS?

Please guys, saying something is good is great, but if you feel a little something could be added, then thats even better. I want these voxels to look as good as they possibly can (albiet Smiffgig will have the last word on design, though) So any and all suggestions are welcome. Very Happy

i cant say theres anything wrong with it apart from it looks more like the nod infantry scheme to the nod vehicle scheme even though it looks much more like the tick tank in the cut scene Smile , great job Very Happy Very Happy

I believe that this was the colour scheme for Nod tanks, to be darker, with more black rather than grey, and it was my idea to try this out. Smile
It doesn't make much sense to have infantry one style, and vehicles another?

For those who would like to see it a bit brighter, I've changed the shades to be more different for the different parts:

Actually it wouldn't be that hard to make a deploying animation. I'd make one, but... Well, no. Tongue

i love this voxel, its far better than the ingame version

however the buildup is a big problem (and is why i havent considered changing it in the past)

buildups are like the hardest graphical things to create (unless you are skilled with a 3d prog like Lightwave or 3ds max) then the likely hood of being able to make 90% of buildups is very very low.

I just made a new buildup for the obelisk.. it comes down to the Obelisk's base fading in, then the tower extends from it and the diamont glow up. sounds cool, looks.. mediocre Wink

Seriously, they aren't that hard. I can immagine how it would go, and I can't see it taking me more than 2 or 3 days. That is, if I had a reason to make one. Like if I was on a... I dunno "team"... or something. Wink

Remember, you're talking to the person who can make a new infantry unit, 360 frames worth, in under 2 weeks (done it 4 times)...
