New awsome mod
I am looking for people to help with a red2 and TS mod Im making.
I need some one who know alot about red2 to help with hard coded things.
I need a graphics artist. (supply the art.ini entries with work please)
I need a map maker.
And I need someone to supply me with all the parts, except movies, of FS, as I live in australia and can't get it anymore.
Please respond, Oh and I will be doing the programing of units and building, over 4 new sides over 200 units each side and over 50 buildings each side, not including the 25+ base defences. QUICK_EDIT
I don't have a credit card or check account or any of that crap, yes my game has a story to it.
The allies, America-Australia-New Zeland-Britian, have united to form one country, The sovients, Japan-Korea-China-Russia-Germany, Have also done this, however there are three new armies poping up besides the armies of these countries, A strange man named Kane has appeared and it seems he is even worse than Yuri was, which suprise suprise, has also appeared after being sent back in time, it seems yuri studied the time machine and has mastered chrono technology.
That is the bases for my game, however, my game is much more detailed than this, which as I mentioned is a small chunk to the story line.
And I did not post here to get flammed, I am well aware how many people spit out bull**** and their mod does not end up having anything near what they clame, oh if i had $1 for every mod I have been disapointed by. So if you people could stop flaming me and star helping it would be appreciated, Thanks. QUICK_EDIT

All I realy need is just for people to submit work, I dont care if it is maps, voxels with art entry or shp with art entries, that is it, I will give credit, I can do the rest my self, I will however only work on my TS mod for now, until westwood gives a way to add true new sides. QUICK_EDIT
Do you have that many vehicle/building ideas? Or are you going to give each side the same stuff with slightly modified properties (like Strength=400 turns into =425 in one side, and into =375 in another?) and make each side identical to all the others? :yawn: Besides, the game will ztype up when you have more than 100 vehicles, your 4*200=800 will never succeed. That's just facts, don't flame me. QUICK_EDIT

- It is possible to avoid the 100th unit problem, however, we still couldnt understand what exactly causes it. I suggest you to check in the TS Research Center, a topic from Shrumster about it... QUICK_EDIT
I have unique ideas for each of the units (Infantry, Air and Vehicles) I have decided that I wont have that many it will be as follows, 30+ buildings for each side, 10+ infantry, 10+ air units and 20+ vehicles for each side. I don't care what art work is submited, I just don't want bad artwork, the artwork does not have to be diffrent than other mods, hell you could even submit firestorm artwork (as I don't have firestorm) or even resized red2 artwork, all I would like with the artwork is the Art entry. Dont worry about maps, I can do them aswell. QUICK_EDIT

Well look, all Im realy asking is for people to submit graphics that don't come with NORMAL tiberian sun, I will accept firestorm graphics as I don't have it. Or red2 converted to ts or even generals converted to ts. I don't need 100% original artwork though feel free to submit it. Just make sure it has a file with the art.ini info. QUICK_EDIT

MOSS, it's important to know that people has no crystal balls. So, they can't foresee what kind of units you will really need and how they should look like. You should try sending a more detailed description of what kind of unit you want for those who are interested on help you, otherwise you will have a load of useless picture and a big waste of time. People who still check this post, I need 5 diffrent component tower heads, 2 of them use anti-air disrupter weapons, the other 3 use anti-ground disrupter weapons. I need 4 difrent tower heads that have two which target air vehicles and use a fireball launcher the other two target ground units with the fireball launcher, all component tower heads must be diffrent. I don't really need 5 dif disrupter components I suppose, realy just two, it is just they are all dif strength and could someone please take a look at my rules which do have most paragraphs or comments or whatever you wish to call them, tib ed just places listed things after the comments and everything else at the end.
eg. Veteran things stay in usual place unit types are placed after comments and the actual unit data at the end. And I really need someone to take a look at the rules and fix for me please QUICK_EDIT

and it disorganizes your rules.ini entirely and limits you from doing loads of things... yea, very good... so good that I recommend Wordpad or similar programs... but really not Se2k, neither TibEd... QUICK_EDIT
i always use wordpad. i learnt that way and i really hate sunedit and stuff. takes all the fun from it IMO _________________ That acting was so bad I think you gave me Cancer...

you just gotta learn to edit the ini files directly

I prefer using the INI Editor 2 and XCC INI Editor. They are just advanced text editors that have a list of the [StuffInBrackets] on the left hand side that makes moving between sections easier. XCC INI Editor also has syntax highlighting.
I want someone who can modify and optimize one or more of Olaf's programs, which happen to be open source, even though I've never heard of any one else adding to them.

Wordpad is a must... I only use SE2k and TIBED for quick I'm-bored-and-want-something-new-now-mods. There are some good TIBED mods, but AFAIK you can't add any new graphics or anything, and for a full blown mod, you can NOT use Tibed and have us expect a High quality mod.
To Fremen5: Wordpad is better in some ways, like it is much better for INI editing, however I would never use wordpad for php, html, inc, or other web coding.
