[RA2] Remastered Hind
I wanted to use the Hind in my mod (original I know, but if MO can have a prism trooper I can have a Hind) but Westwood's voxel is pretty damn ugly and so are all the previous touchups IMHO. Atomic_Noodles' remasters inspired me to try some of my own and the result is not bad at all if I do so say myself.

I am a fan of your logic.
Voxel is good job just damned too smooth for my like. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Anyone can help me to write the code for [Carryall]. I used TS's code, but don't work in Ares (have code "Carryall.Allowed=yes" on my vehicles) _________________ I'm a fan of CnC-RA QUICK_EDIT
If that is supposed to be a Mi24 Hind, then it doesn't look at all like it.
-no wheels on wings (the wings are for weapons only)
-it needs to be longer and bigger
-double canopy _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
Its based on the unused voxel in the mixes which in turn is based on this concept art...
In honesty though you'll really have to make the hind bigger probably around the same size as the vanilla nighthawk transport at least to make it fit in with the vanilla game. _________________ ~ Excelsior ~ QUICK_EDIT
Instead of using the carryall logic, which only works on aircraft, make it accept passengers with SizeLimit=3 to let it carry a tank. That's what I do. QUICK_EDIT
ah, thanks for the concept. Thought it was based on a real Hind.
Well, seeing that in the concept it even has carryall ability, such a tiny remake isn't fitting.
At least this also explains the (imo ugly) spread apart wings with wheels. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
I based it on the voxel that is in the game files which is why it is the size it is. I agree that it's too small but I haven't summoned the motivation to try to make it bigger yet.
Then again compare the size of the amphibious transport and how much it can carry. QUICK_EDIT
Then again compare the size of the amphibious transport and how much it can carry.
There is a small difference.
On a carryall you can see the carried unit. On a amph. transport it's like a sealed magic box and you don't see how it works inside.
years ago i read or heard something about that when someone explained a few principles in sci-fi movie making:
Basically it's like this
-it's easier to make and easier to believe something, when you don't see how it works
-the more detail you add, the more you have to explain and the more it can become unrealistic when it contradicts laws of physics
e.g. an Artificial gravity device
a) take a sealed box and say there is a anti-grav generator in it
b) use panels, electronic circuits, lots of complicated mechanisms and devices and a lot of technobabble
often a) is considered more believable. You don't go into any detail and take it, that it simply works.
b) can have too many strange unrealistic parts that make it unbelievable the more you think about it (e.g. someone recognizes a component that clearly has nothing to do with it) _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

You're on the right track, but it would be good if it was better. _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
Also if you really want to make it usable for general public I higly suggest you remake it with a much bigger scale. You can even use the Siege Chopper as a basis as that at least is the generic Air Unit size for Red Alert 2.
Judging from its tininess I'm really thinking this Hind was still when the Devs were also experimenting with Unit Scale so it still has the proportions of the TS Units. _________________ ~ Excelsior ~ QUICK_EDIT
