Yuri's Revenge on 4K Monitor haves mouse glitch

Hello there.

Today i recieved my new Samsung U28D590D LED UHD 4K 28Inch 3840x2160 Monitor.

I tried to see if i could play Yuri's Revenge on my new monitor and faced a problem.

3840x2160 Resolution crashes the game but even if it would work the resolution would be too high to play this game.

When i put resolution at 1920x1080 it displays the game correctly on my screen but i cant move my mouse to the left side of the screen.

( depends on which resolution i take with some lower resolutions i can move mouse to left side of my screen but cant move to right side)

Is there anything i need to do to fix this mouse issue ?. Any suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Your monitor isn't synced to your video card, there should be a way to auto-adjus tthe picture, either a button or menu option in the monitor itself. Barring that, nvidia and ati both offer video card scan adjustment...

If using dual display, try winkey+p and select computer only if it is in extend. Or you could simply unplug
the 2nd display and try. In your case, split screen on dual inputs to same monitor could also be involved.

Isn't that solution for The Dawn of the Tiberium Age game. ? i need to fix C&C Ra2 Yuri's Revenge

Im sorry i should have wrote what my pc specs are. im using a Nvidia GTX 780. do you have any idea where i can sync the videocard with the monitor? all i did was connected the screen with a hdmi cable to my pc and started using the screen

No i dont use dual displays its only this one connected with a hdmi cable to my pc and when i hit winkey+p its set on PC screen only

I took a short video of my gameplay where you can clearly see what kind of glitch it is. The game resolution is @ 1920x1080. i even tried 800x600 resolution it also haves this mouse glitch

For future reference for all forums, not just ours, it is frowned upon to double, triple, and quadruple post, as you can easily edit your post to include all this information.

The game simply isn't made to be used in such a high resolution so don't expect it to work. (also, everything would be extremely tiny and infantry would be hardly visible).

I got it thanks i will keep that in mind next time. But the thing here is its not a huge resolution. It is a 4K monitor but. ive set my desktop resolution to 1920x1080. and i changed the resolution of Yuri's Revenge also to 1920x1080. like you will see on the video it fits the screen perfect and objects are normal. i just dont understand why the game doesnt reconize the right and bottom side of the screen. If the resolution was 3840x2160 i would understand that the resolution was too big. But this resolution is 1920x1080 which was working perfectly in my previous monitor.

I got more inches now with the same resolution as my monitor before. Why would it be a problem? i dont get it.

That is weird, I tried 1680x and 1920x on my tv, both were fine, try 1680 as a test?

1680x1050 does the exact same thing. there must be a way to fix this i feel like that. because the objects looks great the screen reconizes the map its just that my mouse doesnt reconize the right and bottom side of the screen.

i might need kind of a patch or something for this. hopefully there is a fix and someone can tell it to me asap because i love this game.

Running in windowed mode could solve it.

If it is high dpi, then make it 100% or to smaller setting from control panel -> display.

Could also try dual display mouse manager as it gives screen bounds - http://ddmm.sourceforge.net/

Vsync settings are in nVidia control panel - 3d or could use NVidia Inspector. Could make app specific profiles.

Running the game in windowed mode with custom resolution ScreenWidth=1550. ScreenHeight=840 fits my screen perfect and made the game playable again.

and its not that bad resolution for YR. good enough. Still if there might be a better solution it's always welcome.

If you don't play windowed mode, the desktop resolution has nothing to do with the game... but as pointed out, the dpi might, as it pertains to the mouse.

Possible finding another mouse driver by logitech or whatever brand you have could fix it?

Its alright already i'm playing the game in windowed mode with enough resolution.

I also tried setting my desktop resolution to 3840x2160 and game resolution to (custom) 1920x1060 ''in windowed mode'' it also fitted perfect but the game became a bit laggy.

So will just keep using 1920x1080 desktop resolution and 1550x840 game resolution.
