technician?
the good old technician. he exists in the files and shows up occationally, sometimes masquerading in with the civilians . . . but it also reminds me, is it possible to have more than one crew type? i know the psychic amplifier sometimes dumped out a technician, and the conyard can dump out an engineer, but is there a ways to make this happen?

I know you can spoof the building capture by allowing an engineer to garrison, but i didn't test if that breaks the repairing as well... if not then that would be the trick to preventing building capture. Even if you give them a weapon that attacks buildings i'm sure you could just alt+click then into the building. (kinda like if you set a unit to always have attack cursor on friendly units you can hold alt to let them enter transports)

Then test it! It's way faster than waiting for an answer you could probably figure out in a minute.

Maybe that's because it has no AIBasePlanningSide specified, other than that I see not many differences between that and the Nuclear Missile Silo.
If you're referring to the specific scenario where it was owned by Civilian first, then captured it could be just that.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, Mental Omega 2.0 had Einstein'd Technicians, maybe you could look into that. _________________

Well i see how technician works as civilian crew then, that makes sense. I should make more civvie buildings crewed. Like the tech buildings. (oil derrick would kill them tho haha)
I meant how to make technician a low probability spawn in faction building deaths. like you get 3 conscripts and a technician, kinda thing
Edit: solved via Ares.. i still havent tested if the capture spoofing (by adding occupy) breaks repair or not... it breaks both engineer capture and spy infiltrate. they try to enter the building and walk back from it. _________________ ????????MyAnimeList my Last.fm QUICK_EDIT
