Simply lower the voice volume in the game settings.

Hmm I have this bug... but that link doesn't explain what I've done wrong, since all my buildings have all the houses in Owner= ?

Or is it because I have the generic prereqs like PROC/RADAR ?

Mind you, there are two causes. The Naval vs Land could be the reason. Using generic groups ain't big deal as long as you don't forget the producer among them - just add FACTORY/GAWEAP/NAWEAP/whatnot to the correct one.

All my ships have a prereq of GAYARD or NAYARD plus tech buildings, all my land units have one of the three factories NAWEAP/NAFIST/GAWEAP plus tech buildings. There are a few base units with a prereq of NAWEAP and override of NAFIST, but those don't have any other requirements, just the factory.

Is there something I'm missing?

Override? You're using Override? Then it's a lost cause. I'd put ten bucks that is involved.

NAWEAP and NAFIST are the same side and same factory type, basically identical except the units that you're allowed to make?

I can try commenting them out but I have a serious doubt that that's what's causing it. It's not any different than ORCA being available with GAAIRC and override with AMRADR, which doesn't seem to be a problem?

...or any of the other overrides like the pentagon for GHOST or whatnot.

Pentagon for GHOST isn't a problem - as long as you don't have the Pentagon. However I guess you can build both NAFIST and NAWEAP.

What screws up EVA is when a unit or structure can be built according to its prerequisites, but not according to the specified owner(s).

That sounds great but like I said, all my buildings have ALL the houses as owner, and all my units have the specific factory named as a prerequisite.

I even removed the overrides (except the WW ones) and no change...

So if I make GACNST and NACNST Owner= every house, the "bug" goes away but then the AI builds both and things get out of hand...

I put it back and the AI plays properly, but the "new construction options" comes back.

WTF is going on...

Alright so I added basplanning to the conyards and that seems to have stopped the dual building.
