I added some TIB01 copies in overlay types list. They can be spread with debris. However I failed to add anything to [Tiberiums]. Or to say, I failed to link the added overlay with things in [Tiberiums]. The image of these overlays are like hardcoded to be TIB**, I can't even change them to GEM**. Only when I added explodes=yes on default ones, the ore spread with debris dont explode so I can say these are my ores.

Anyone has some more research?

I don't think there is such research done...
AFAIK the tiberium Image number thing is hard coded reference so adding next number is likely not working ever.

Thus dreams of new resource (tib/ore) definition is not possible.

Your Limited to spawning 'em as you are now.

If course someone has done this research. That's a big thunk of work required to expand the game.

Tiberiums cannot have more than 4 types, for several technical reasons. First, the list of overlays to use is hardcoded, using indexes not names. This is controlled by the Image= tag (values 0 to 4 are valid). Second, the internal data for tiberiums is like an array of four values, one for each type. A fifth item would have no storage space, and it would corrupt memory when it is written.

Of course, the game only uses two of the ore types, and thus 2 types can be modded, so you can have 4 types.

[TIB01] is normal ore "Yellow Crystal", [TIB2_01] is basically [TIB01], And [TIB3_01] is unused and works perfectly fine and even grows, and [GEM01] act as normal second ore "The Candy stuff".

[TIB2_01] is used in some of the original westwood maps, so those will need to be screened out if you intend to use the original maps and modify it.
