Usually i'm totally against commercials and especially against spreading them, but I just saw a really good one of a german supermarket.

Even feels like some kind of short movie. What kind of merchandise is this for?
Is it just a generic go-shop-at-our-mall ad?

yes, basically an ordinary supermarket, which is supposed to have low-priced goods and fruit/vegetables from the local area around this market.
Though personally i find Edeka quite expensive and rather buy at Aldi.
