How to Convert .3DS to .VXL?

How to Convert .3DS to .VXL?
I know how to convert, but I meant that the voxel after the convert, it always converts without the textures i added on my blender model.
See:
How to make it with textures? I am using Blender 2.76b.

I forget to say something, but how to create any voxel with that new style that began in 2009? (when i convert .3ds to .vxl, it gives me the same old style from 1999.

QUICK_EDIT
Unfortunately that is achieved by hand fixing any 3ds convert vxl or some call it totally detailing by hand and simply converting originally without texture.
Alternatively could try simplify the textures as very high detail/complicated texture is always gonna result in very grainy voxel.
Voxel is lossy detail medium by default so should design with that in mind, duplicating the detail as 2 px, not use 1 px details. QUICK_EDIT
I think what he is referring to with style is that recently people seem to have stopped using the voxelizer and instead are building things with the voxel editor programs. You can see the difference in the resulting voxels quite easily. It's like the difference between pre-rendered sprites and pixel-art sprites.
In pixel-art, you will see that basically all the details are positioned and scaled to align perfectly with the pixel grid. So, you will tend to not see what looks like anti-aliasing. QUICK_EDIT
What Should i edit for the Voxel Options & Model Options? _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .
QUICK_EDIT
.3DS files has certain limitations as they're quite old file format, eg. the object names and filenames should be max 10 characters long without special chars. The textures should be in supported format, iirc .BMP is one.
If you're using Blender's internal material & texture system and not UV mapping then you should create UV maps and bake textures as .3DS files don't hold embed textures.

Yeah, I've noticed this trend and TBH I think it sucks in general for larger voxels as they end up looking blocky and pixelly. There is a reason you don't see much pixel art anymore, it looks a bit crap when you are doing it for large images as you see in todays HD games. You'd do better doing it small and scaling it up with xbr or something. Maybe someone should looks into using a similar algorithm for voxels. QUICK_EDIT
@ViPr: Thanks! Didn't realize that it should be 8 chars for file names. For object names I meant names of the models, mesh, text, curves and so on. QUICK_EDIT
IIRC long object names are truncated and appended with ~1 ~2 ~3 etc in the 3DS file, like long filenames shown in DOS.
But since 3DS2VLX doesn't really care about the object names, long names shouldn't matter. Only when objects are animated, the resulting VXL section will then have the same truncated name with ~Number. But IIRC VXL's don't care about such sectionnames as well. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
Yes, the texture file names in the 3ds file get chopped short which can cause confusion for the voxelizer. I think file names had to be short in those days when 3D Studio (without the Max) existed. It was an operating system limitation apparently.
It always happen to me too , when I try to make a vxl from 3ds.
sometimes it transform the shape only while the texture not and sometimes the program crash and corrupt the 3ds file.
that is why I don't try to make voxel. _________________
It corrupts the 3DS file or VXL file? I don't see how it is possible for it to corrupt a 3DS file since the voxelizer program doesn't attempt to write anything into those files; it only reads from them. QUICK_EDIT

@Pus: it helps to keep a topic readable by spending 1 sec more time when creating the reply to remove unnecessary quotes (especially big pictures) and actually provide the info that was asked for. He asked where to find it, not whats its name. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
