Maybe I get burned off the forums for this, but I'm just asking here, I could have also went for the illegal copies and versions etc.

Here's it: would it be wrong to send me, or attach here, the Cyborg Reaper shp ?

The deal is, I'd like to add this unit to TibSun, since it's the only original unit from FS. I know it's weblauncher won't work then, but that's not a big bother.

My sincere apologies if this is a really wrong question.

One fs shp file? It would still be copying copyrighted software but i gurantee Westwood/EA wouldn't give a crap.

It's ilegal like modding is ilegal. The difference is that Westwood already knows the advantages of a moddable game, but technically they wouldnt like a firestorm artwork shared with non-firestorm users. Considering they will never read this topic #Tongue... no comments, but, I wouldnt like to see it hosted here in PPM, specially because the computer where PPM files are stored is in USA Wink...

Westwood/EA doesn't give a crap if u mod the game for your own use. They would care if you tried to get online with the mods though.

haha, if Banshee's afraid of hosting even just the reaper.shp, what about TSTW? it has all Firestorm artwork in it...

still, this is one of Banshee's rules.. and i can understand it although myself i wouldn't go that far Wink

why don't you check out the forum on www.tiberiumsun.com and ask, i'm sure somebody will put it up for you.

Thank you all, you are all very kind Smile I'll try the TiberiumSun.com forum

Also what about this: if someone edited the Reaper shp, say, add 1 pixel to it, would it then still be copyrighted and all that ? It would basically be the same like all other recoulored shp files.

Everyone does this, really... i would say putting up the whole game disc ISO or TIBSUN.mix would go too far...

I wouldnt care if this was a resource from a non-expansion C&C (i.e.: C&C 95, Red Alert 1 and 2, Tiberian Sun and Generals). As for expansions, I wouldnt care either if it was from Aftermath, Yuri's Revenge or Zero Hour.

Firestorm, Covert Operations and Countrestrike have problems because if you get their material, you can add it to the game and enjoy it even without buying it which is not fair at all.
