I don't what title to give. It's noticable on both PPM as on Origin that I'm busy w/ a mod. Now I got a domain Very Happy

AND SOON OWN FORUMS THANKS TO BANSHEE Very Happy

But now I see I need MySQL knowledge for it. And that brings me to the question: Is there anyone with free time on his/her hands, willing to help me w/ webpage / be webmaster for FS Allout, and has knowledge on MySQL?????????????????????????¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ If so, please reply in the topic, pm me here on Origin, Tumsun or mail me or add me on MSN or Yahoo chat. Possiblity's plenty. I'm findable on Tumsun, Origin and PPM as G10N89TS. By the way thanks to everyone still willing to hold out with my n00bish questions... and all the other shit I posted.

Also because I chose the server 3x.ro and that only supports MySQL.

you do realize that there are tutorials on www.phpBB.com for setting up a phpBB forum..

and alot of the newer mods for phpBB come with a mysql installer file, that auto installs mysql shit..so you just need to kno how to follow instructions....

I use MySQL for my the poll and downloads database on my site, and I barely know anything about it.

If we should keep it to MySQl or switch to PHP. It's your call since you're the one who is doing the site.

how much knowledge you got of php and MYsql..

Mysql is used to query and help run proggies that NEED it...

php is used with alot of shit that needs mysql, but php and mysql are used for two diff things all together..

i won't claim to kno alot about mysql, because to be honest i try to avoid mysql like the black plaque...

But i do know, if your going to make a great site, and make it easier to use than a straight html site, your gona need some php, because php will make a site 100% easier to use thana straight html site..

huh? PHP is a server side programming language. MySQL is a popular database system that is commonly used in conjunction with PHP.

IPB and phpBB are both mainly written in PHP and use MySQL for their databases.

I only use MySQL in scripts that I didn't write. In the PHP scripts that I have written so far, I have used text files for my database needs instead.

gah! Did you guys not understand my last post?!?

You use both.

PHP is fairly easy, I'm teaching it to myself.

Using MySQL in PHP, requires a little more knowledge, but you can download many scripts for free, so you may not need to write commands to use.
