What is the Tacitus ? (questions & speculation)
Ok, I'd like to know this, I never played FS and I often get the feeling I didn't quit understood or know the full TS story. But what is the Tacitus exactly ?
1 - is it a relic found in that big Scrin Ship ?
2 - How is this Tacitus linked to Tratos (and thus the mutants) ?
3 - At the end of TS, Kane morphs away, does the Tacitus grants its user morhp ability (a bit like the chronosphere) ?
4 - Kane keeps talking about the future and all. Does the Tacitus grants its user to see the future ?
5 - Does the Tacitus grants its user immortality ? (thus Kane immortal)
6 - Is the Tacitus highly linked to Tiberium ? Does it let its user be able to control tiberium ?
7 - What does the Tacitus look like ? Is it a sort of bible from the aliens (thus a book) or, as I imagine it, a big shiny blue chrystal ?
8 - In short, why is it important to have the Tacitus ?
Feel free to answer or add questions.
Please keep this topic serious. Thanks for reading. QUICK_EDIT
How is this Tacitus linked to Tratos (and thus the mutants?
Tratos was busy with translating it. Cabal finished the translation.

No, as far as I know it doesn't have the ability to morph away since it only contains data. And about Kane is still a bunch a questions even how come he is still alive since he is seen in RA (1940) and in TS (2030) without getting old.

No, the Tacitus only contains data about almost everything. In Firestorm they have translated it. And the question about Kane links up to the other questions about him. Some say his immortal (since the appearence in almost every CnC part) and some say cloned (since last scene at Firestorm)

It is linked to Tiberian since it has all information about it. But it doesn't let its user control Tiberium.

It is some kind of ball split in two pieces. Somewhere in the story the both merge and it gives acces to its data.

It is important since it contains all information even about Tiberium. And who controls Tiberium eventually controls the world. _________________ Current project is Yuri Revenge Devil's Pact;

He stands by the missile, then he dissapears.
Since he stood by it its quite locical that he went into it. Also, being the fanatic he is, trying to mutate the world what place could he possible prefer to be in over his missile when the big... something his missile causes is going to happen? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
It could be like that. But there is also the possibility (seen at the end of Firestorm) that 'clones' of Kane/Cabal were unstable and by a sertain thing (radiation from missile?) are annihalated. Cause if that Kane really went in to that missile it would also give the impression he hates the current menkind since he wants to see it doomed by his own eyes. But he also focuses a lot on the future. So it would be more logically he would stay there and make a clone of himself. Cause TS in a later time then RA and in RA2 there was a sertain technology called the Cloning Vats. And I doubt that technology of that usefullness, like Curtain, Chrono etc, were forgotten. Or am I being wrong here? _________________ Current project is Yuri Revenge Devil's Pact;

I find that very unlikely.

There might be several clones at one time, so perhaps one of them went into the missile and the other(s) stayed. Also, if the world got completly Tiberium mutated a human would have a hard time surviving. So maybe Cabal would create a new tiberium Kane later? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
i would say Kane was human and i do not accept his existance in RA since westwood said that red alert exist in ANOTHER universe therefore...
but he was killed in TD (ion cannon) and i think hes a cyborg in TS/FS see GDI end... ha was in pyramid with tiberium all around him... and that half metal face was... improvement ? addon ?
and teleport could lead to tascitus technology or Kane as a cyborg... (something like terminator story) :p
and you see him on end of FS in cabals core that he is linked to cabal so i say hes definately a cyborg
so in TT kane and cabal are one i persume because cabal did stated kane had unfinished things to do...
and since Kanes task was to transform earth to toxic planet and prepare it for scrin arrival...
Maybe he learnt information from the tacitus rather than using the tacitus ; such as knowing the abilities of semi-immortality in the likes. just a thought. QUICK_EDIT
