Continuing on with French theme from the last news post. I've started work on a new skirmish map of Paris, at it's center is the world famous Eiffel Tower.

The map is still a work in progress & I haven't started on the north-west side of the river Seine, which will feature the equally as big Palais de Chaillot.

I assume those shadows are just animations because of them multiplying with the real shadows. Maybe you could instead do it with invisible buildings? Invisible buildings could also let you make units show up as being hidden behind the tower, because let's face it, that's gonna be an issue. #Tongue

This does make me wonder how unimpressive superweapons are gonna be, given they'll all be smaller than this... unless they aren't?

The shadow is an alpha image attached to a dummy building.

The selection box is the hight of just the base, thus it can't hide much. This was done to stop jumpjet units from climbing all the way to the top, so instead they just fly through the archways.

Other then post-war atomic bombs, D-day doesn't have any large superweapons. The A-bombs are reduced in scale tho for gameplay balancing.
