This week was certainly a week to go to history in matters of Zero Hour maps... I'm amazed with the absurd quantity of submited zero hour maps I've seen... That's probably over 30 maps, although I havent counted... Also, someone had a brillant idea to make movies using World Builder and posted one made for Generals (the only generals map of the week) for CnC Den. Other than that, loads of rumours appeared about the new game from Petroglyph and... loads of changes in happened in PPM forums... well, here's the full round up:

Important:

-> Battletech Generals - The Capelian Solution 1.0 Beta Released!: They've recently announced the release of the first, of the four releases of the mod. This version features all the units and a completely new Skirmish/Multiplayer AI. Check it out and have fun!

News At Project Perfect Mod:

-> NCM Revolution (TS/FS): Triforce has a new superb render of the NCM Helipad at this topic.

-> Command Imperium (ZH): Chantillas has recently announced that he has returned to work on it, although nothing new was showed yet.

-> BS SHP Builder: I've been working hard on this one to fully implement the Undo feature in all situations. Progress is quite slow, since my current task is being quite complex. This is certainly delaying its release a lot, but it won't take long to finish it.

Community News:

-> Petroglyph Grows: The guys over Petroglyph Games (a new gaming company founded by ex-Westwood Staff) announced that their group has expanded a lot and they will be moving again. The big news was the rumours that emerged with their appearance on the Game Developpers Conference. There are several rumours indicating that their publisher is Electronic Arts and that their next game is a Command & Conquer.... let's hope these rumours are correct Wink.

-> CnC Source is Back Online: CnC Source returned to be online in the beggining of the week after being hacked twice. However, their downloads database isn't back yet.

-> New Mod: Operation: Enduring Freedom: This mod has finally gained hosting at Planet CnC. They will try to bring a realistic simulation of the Afghanistan war (in 2001) to your Zero Hour. The mod will feature 3 factions: United States, Talibans and the Northen Alliance. They will try to make it the more realistic possible and even use satelite information to reproduce Kabul, Kandahar and other important places.

-> New Site: Dark Heart Studios: Mad Ivan, who used to run the Dragonhorde Studios is now running the Dark Heart Studios which is a site that will interact with gaming community and specially the CnC community. They might have an interview with the good people from Halo Generals Mod in few days.

Events:

-> Open Map Competition extended in 2 weeks: The DvD (from TiberiumSun.com) and I(from PPM) have decided to extend the Open Map Competition due to the great demand, so you still have 2 weeks to submit your maps... at least, we are accepting them until April 15th. Hurry up, finish it, do the final touches and good luck!

-> Operation: World Defense Map Competition: Devin has recently announced a new map contest for YR mappers! You have until april 15th to submit your map. Devin has posted details of this new contest here and you can inscribe yourself in this topic. You may need a registered account in PPM forums, but it's easy, fast, free, safe and spam-free. So, no need to worry about that Wink. He will post further info on this contest soon.

Interviews:

-> Planet CnC Interviews Andrew Lee: Stephen Cheng, from Planet CnC, has interviewed Andrew Lee, a long time visitor of Planet CnC with 7 questions. It's also good to hear opinions from C&C fans Wink. Check it out here.

Wow... how long did that take you, Banshee?

However, IMHO, listing full info about every single map might be a little waste of your time.. I don't think many people will have the time to read every single word....

But then, it's your unique style, and 'style' is the one and only thing which makes newsposters unique, and that's something I like Smile

This was the fastest round up so far... I took 4 hours only. What helped me a lot was the fact that I used the previous round up as base... Wink.
