I need some assistance with the change house triggers in Tiberian Sun.

I was making a map in FinalSun and (there are ALOT of units on this map. I mean, ALOT. At least one of every type of unit, every GDI/Nod building, even some single player buildings, and hundreds of Sam's and Obelisks. (It's a freestyle map )

Anyway, I did the triggers like how I learned in Red Alert 2. (God bless Cannis)

However, I should have known, the minute I load the map, it gives the infamous error message and nukes TS back to the desktop. *sigh*

I inspected my map for "out of boundry" (in the blue/red lines) units, and didn't find any. Some come a little close to the blue line, but not in it. Some pavement, some tiberium, and some nod walls go into it, but I figured that isnt the problem.

I thought it might be map size. (125x125 may be too big) Maybe it is, I dunno.

Then I figured I made the trigger is wrong.

Under trigger options I put:
I named it "GiveNod"

House: Neutral

Type (modifies all existing tags): 0

Attached trigger: <none>

Disabled checkbox: Unchecked

then under it, easy, medium and hard boxes checked.

Under events I have:

Current Event: Event 0

and Event Type: 8 Any Event

everything else blank

Under Actions I have:
Current Action: Action 0

Action Type: 14 Change House

Action Parameters: House

This is where I think I messed up (or rather, Final Sun)

Under Parameter Value, I set it to multiplayer 0 (i.e., me.) thinking all was good, I closed the trigger editor and went around setting the trigger on all the units. Later, when I was looking at the Parameter Value, I noticed it had it set on GDI (for single player mode). FinalSun seems to keep reseting it to GDI whenever I close the trigger editor. I think this is the problem.

Someone please help me!

I'm too lazy to download it and check, but I think the problem here is that you have tibierium on a hill/slope... I may download and test at a later period of time.

IMO, that is Matze's mistake - he set the house enumeration to
Code:

0 GDI
1 Nod
2 Neutral
3 Special
0 Multi-Player 0
1 Multi-Player 1
2 Multi-Player 2
3 Multi-Player 3
4 Multi-Player 4
5 Multi-Player 5
6 Multi-Player 6
7 Multi-Player 7

and probably uses the first symbol as an index of the selected option.
I can't help you to solve it, an experienced mapper with manual trigger making knowledge is needed.

is tiberium (and/or tiberium lifeforms- i.e. the funny looking palm tree like things) on pavement a bad thing? I have a little of that.

update:

took away the pavement under what I think is all the tiberium... stuff, game still locks up. #Mad

I dont have any cliffs or slopes yet, the map is still flat. so that cant be it.

My best amateur (spelling?) guesses are either the extreme number of units or a trigger problem. Then again, I'm clueless

edit button- gotcha. Another forum I go on only lets you edit your post for 3 minutes after you post it, so you cant really edit much. I'll keep that in mind, though.
