Everyone-

I am glad u r reading this.
This is the bggest ini project ever- Tactical nuclear simulation-
somthing that no computer game has, except some, whichis very rare.
this is all possible, and will revolutionize ra2+yr ini editing-
making way for even more possibility.
What this is is a challenging feat of ini- making it so u can build
as many nuke silos as u want, click the SW icon, and target enemy base,
having all the nukes come down at once in a random are in radius
and blow stuff up. If anyone is willing to help code and gather art images for this project, contact me at this forum, or at my other post at sleip,DEEZIRE
or cnc guild.
This is for Serius ini editors only, noobs could never do this in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years.

2 things:

1. Is RA2 actually meant to have a superweapon that strong? Takes away all the fun, you're not supposed to be able to destroy an entire base with a simple click.
2. It seems a little too ambitious coming in here asking people do to the entire thing for you.

Is there any point in this? It's a stupidly overpowered superweapon that would simply annihilate the enemy base. Also, technology in YR is advanced enough so random nuclear bombardment isn't needed Rolling Eyes.

Also, after rereading it and actually figuring out what he said, it's completely impossible. Modders already know the boundaries which we can work with (albeit, we can fool the game into doing certain things or find ways around stuff), I know as a fact that we cannot do that. True superweapon cloning is impossible, and all of them falling at the same time is even less likely.
Go play Generals so you can build 50 Particle Cannons, because EA are clever at making balanced games Rolling Eyes.

One thing i have just thought of, when u nuke a real country, u attack there capitals with one nuke, not 500, why waste 499 nukes on one location when u can destroy the area with 1.

Renegade @ DZ's forums suggested changing the weather storm anims and warheads to fake this stuff... I think brian's idea sux, but that's one way of doing it, if the warhead is actually used for something... and with LightningRod= maybe it'll get attracted to the specific area even when you take out the Action (so it strikes randomly)? But I don't know and I don't care if it works or not.

You would have gotten a lot less disagreement if you would have asked, say "How would I make nukes drop randomly within a certain radius"...
People here will help, but acting like its the best/most important thing ever and that everyone must help is more than a little too much hype...

The thing is you can't remove the hardcoding we been there and done that, but there are ways to get around such things but they require compromises and sacrifices. A clever modder would use what is given to them and use these exploits to create a desired effect.

Thats why this site is for, Look and search at the research forums, and learn for yourself. Asking to be served on a silver platter wont get you anywhere, but you come to the right place.

I downloaded a infantery character ones, Vegeta of DBZ.
I gave is the capabilities of hovering (just above the ground),
I gave it speed 10, and it could fire nukes!

What did I do to get it with nukes:

1. Copy the nuke weapon (including WH etc.) and give it new names.
2. Strip the animation of the nuke getting launched and the nuke falling.
3. Get the firespeed up (becouse vegeta fires fast)
4. Drop the damage (wich is 500, if i remembered correctly) to 100 or 200.
5. Copy the new weapon and make it the elite weapon.
6. Increasedamage with 50 or increase fire speed a little.
7. Test the new infantery unit.

NOTE: This may cause crashing the game, so backup every step!

I have this unit somewhere zipped, so ill add it to my website soon.
Tell me if you like it or not, it's the first version. Made by me a few years ago, a friend of me could not stop laughing. You can destroy 8 brutal enemies (with or without SW doesnt matter) in 10 minutes!!!!! (vegeta is then a starting unit). Twisted Evil

i know, was just editing a bit. the unit came out pretty good though.
but the down side is, that it is so powerfull. it is a simple unit to destroy everything in your path when you are mad or anything like it.
but everyone may use it if they like.

an noobie question (chargetime drain was mentioned on Guild) but good common sense from the experience modders.

RA2 is fun if its balanced yet stragetically endless. I'm think of posting my screenies of my AG mod here as IPB on CNC Guild is Crying or Very sad

A weapon like that would just be to powerful and suck the fun out of the game.Its not all about nukes,its about planning tactical assualt parties
and using your skills with offensive attacks not sit back while your massive nuke storm becomes ready.A nuke storm like that would probably blow a part of earth off anyway
