which palette should be used?
With RA1 temperat.pal it still doesn't look quite right. Or the SHPs desparately need some anti-aliasing, since with temperat.pal i get some very strong pixelated effect.
E.g. on the Mi2 there are random bright-blue pixel appearing on the side of the main body.
The shilka's shape is also hard to discern and more like a box of random pixel.
With what do you rendered these? We have camera/light setups for 3dsmax and blender on ppm. Maybe those can help to improve the result.

thanks for the feedback!
I've made them as voxels first and then converted to SHPs - I haven't managed to run the Blender plugin properly yet. The Mi-2 was scaled down; the blue pixels used to be windows...
Hey, thanks for making those, ill be using the mi2. i had to replace blue of its windows in shp builder as colors 96-102 is used for cycling the water fx.
the shilka turret has holes in it, some pixels turn out to be color 0, which is whats used for transparency. you gotta ensure those black pixels turn color 12, or whatever else color black in the palette there is. QUICK_EDIT
