Subject description: Unprotect MIX FIles and Recover their File Names		 Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread
Hello, I created a tool that can Unprotect any TS/RA2/RA2YR Protected MIX File. It can also Recover the File Names(local mix database.dat) that is NULLED by all famous MIX Protectors. I call it RA2YR MIX Unprotector Master.


The File Name Recovery is still not that perfect since I still have not yet figure out how to write Olaf's "ID to Name" and "Name to ID" function on my programming language.

~~THIS SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR:
* MIX RECOVERY PURPOSES incase you accidentally deleted your original copy of MIX File.
* MOD Troubleshooting/optimization purposes for bugs/glitches/etc that can be Reported to the developer of the mod.

I'd change the name to 2.0 rather than Master, at least until we can confirm recovering file names works for any MIX.

I tested it on Famous MODS like "Mental Omega". It can recover all of its filenames except expandmo96.mix.

Since expandmo96.mix deleted the LMD inside the mix file making file recovery hopeless. LMD Corruption still has hope on not recovering file names though

I will just try to study how olaf translates this IDs into filenames, LMD will not be a problem anymore when we finally figure out how...

It will come handy for times that mix recovery is needed. I experienced it, forcing me to create this tool...
