Subject description: Kerbiter's Stupid Animations Emporium presents

Another voxel by me, a nimble Yuri's plasma bomber. Voxelled and rendered with MagicaVoxel. Includes frame-animated plasma vortex which uses "emissive" voxel colors.

Those assets are free to use as long as you credit me.

Nice work. I'm astonished how accurate the 3D preview matches the ingame rendered result.

Wouldn't the vortex work and look better as a SHP muzzleflash firing anim? Even with only 8 facings, it would be surely nicer if only shown when firing and not always. (not to mention the ability to make it a bit transparent and glowing on dark maps)

Could you make a short tutorial how to get MagicaVoxel files converted into VXL format? Or does MV support direct export into the game VXL format?
I think a few people would be interested in such a tutorial, showing the work process using MagicaVoxel instead of VSE.

Well, in fact the art/cameo thingy is photoshopped so that it doesn't look blocky. If you want I could show what was the original renders.

Most likely it would be, but I just made the vortex animation using voxels because it was used for rendering, and also because of the fact I oddly like voxel animations Laughing

There is already a tutorial on how to use MagicaVoxel in Mod Haven discord, but I guess I should post it here too. I thought that maybe Banshee would integrate my patch needed to import from MV, but alas, I guess that won't happen considering that my patch is far from ideal.

Absolutely love this beauty! However, it appears that the HVA Animation on this craft causes it to spazz out when flying if used with an aircraft capable of banking turns, as it rapidly rocks back and forth between its maximum left/right banking angles.

I removed the animation frames and problem solved. Not a big deal as it's a minor detail, but somewhat of a shame nonetheless.
