Hello,

I have a repeating error that I cannot solve by myself, and I need some help.

Whenever I try to launch the game I get an error message. While I don't know how to post a photo on the forum yet to show you the error box, I have pasted the detail from the client log below:

I suspect that this has something to do with my multi-monitor setup. I have tried to configure the game to launch in windowed mode to no success.

I don't believe this is the result of a corrupt download, as I have downloaded the game twice from two different mirrors.

Please help if you can!

What kind of a monitor setup do you have? I have multiple monitors as well.

Try to go to the Resources\ directory and run clientogl.exe, does it give a similar error?

Thank you Rampastein! Apart from some graphical errors where certain boxes are highlighted bright pink, the solution allowed the game to boot. I will have to do more experimentation to make sure the game is fully functional.

I have a triple curved monitor setup through DisplayPort cables to my RTX2080 Super. Monitors are only cheap Phillips ones.

Oh... 5760x1080. The client should run on that resolution but I don't think anyone of its contributors have such a huge resolution, so there could be a compatibility issue that we haven't been able to run into.

You can try going to the options in the client (via clientogl.exe), toggling off Fullscreen Client and reducing the client resolution to for example 1280x800, and checking if the client runs regularly then. The default DX11 version of the client provides a better experience than the OpenGL version.

If you already have Settings.ini file in the installed folder, for default windowed mode of the client, could check the following parameters under [Video] section:

ClientResolutionX=1280
ClientResolutionY=800
BorderlessWindowedClient=False

With 5760 width resolution, you won't be able to play maps with less than 120 width comfortably, that I suppose would be substantial number of maps.

Better to play the game by restricting it to single display.
