Not sure if this is a bug or not, or if other people have discovered this already, but wanted to share anyway:

- building has cost set to X
- building gives FreeUnit=B
- unit B has cost Y>X
- in game, building will have cost set to Y

I discovered this when testing out a new refinery (cost set to $1) which also gives a free harvester (cost of $1400) - once launched, the game set the refinery cost to $1400 instead of $1.

yes, it's known
The building will also keep the construction speed from its own cost. The only way in TS to make a building cost a lot but build very fast.

Is there a single place somewhere where we can deposit all this type of info/ nuggets of randomness, or are they just scattered all over?

That's nothing to fix and actually a useful feature.
After all it's the only way in TS to give a building a construction speed that's faster than usual with the same cost.
