I guess it is because I am a cheating prick. Or just hate a specific mission cause it dumps on me.

Talking about the GDI Toxic hazard campaign. Mission 4 seems impossible when one only gets a single field to harvest ressources from then about 5 minutes in the Computer sends a massive wave of units... so many that the production and return from the resources barely sees you with half the units...

And I would like to be able to modify that in the Final sun. But other than the second mission of it, I get the Fatal error Final sun doesn't support this map.

If you're referring to the Toxic Diversion GDI Mission 4 then you need to capture the tiberium field and the top left.

If you think that's hard, you should try the Toxic Diversion Nod Mission 4 when you destroy the Experimental Lab in Mission 1, that's bloody impossible. GDI uses their Ion Cannon to destroy your main unit within a few minutes of the game. Doesn't matter where you put it, the only way to avoid it is to keep moving it so that the Ion Cannon misses or doesn't directly hit it, which takes attention away from building your base, and your Nod allies are bloody useless too.

I've tried editing the maps in the Map Editor but it just crashes saying that its not supported, so I'm guessing they've either write protected it or it contains additional modding that the FinalSun Map Editor doesn't support.

You need to expand to the top-left or attack the center quickly and start harvesting from there. Don't leave yourself with only that 1 field for long.

Also, if you haven't been doing it yet, sell the walls between your refinery and the initial tiberium field to lower the harvester's movement distance between the refinery and field.

We won't give advice on cheating.
