Community News!
Hello again and sorry for the lack of news recently. When I start concentrating a lot on a certain projects, I barely work on others and that's what happened. I worked a lot on the Open Source SHP Builder 3. The Release Candidate version might be available in the next days, maybe a bit more than a week, but I still have hopes to release it before the end of the month. Another thing that stopped me from doing things online was my beatifull computer with the greatest power supply ever! Do you know what is to have a computer with problematic memory and power supply for a over month? It's a terrible thing, I can confirm it. It took me sometime to find out the problem, but now I'll hopefully get rid of it soon. The sensation of being able to turn on the computer in the first attempt is a great sensation, however, it costed me a HD, just for some days. Anyway, today's blurb is too big... let's get to the news I missed:
-> An Act Of a War 1.0: PCTeen1 has announced some days ago the release of their first beta version. This beta contains the United States side as well as 35 new units, 18 new buildings, new sounds and several new graphic effects. This is far away from being completed but it already provides some good fun. Download it by following this link.
-> Allied Generals RA2 Mod Beta 1.00 Released!: Allied Generals released the beta of his RA2 (not YR) mod. The mod contains some new units and a differenced and enjoyable gameplay. You can head to this topic, download it and submit some feedback. AG has also posted the updates that will be featured in the version 1.01 at this topic.
-> Blitzkrieg 2 v0.038 Released: Blitz 2 has been patched with some bug fixes and ballance changes in order to make the gameplay better. It's just a 4mb patch, but it requires v0.037 or v0.035 installed.
-> Thomas A. Szakolczay's portfolio features C&C 3 and Renegade 2 screenies!: Recently, chickendippers from CnC World (and few other sites) has spotted a site that was known to few people, but it has a very interesting ammount of contents. Thomas Szakolczay used to be a concept artist at Westwood before working for Call For Duty. He worked on Emperor: Battle For Dune, Earth & Beyond and also on Renegade 2 and Command & Conquer 3 project before Westwood closes its doors. He has some interesting concept arts of C&C 3, including police cars, cabal and GDI units and some other stuff. He also has some movies. One about the intro of the first mission (probably first mission) and the other is the interface. All of them are prototypes, far from being finished, but it provides a cool idea of how does it would look like. When I wrote this news, the site was down, so we are temporarily hosting these movies from Eletronic Arts. If anyone wants the mirror down, please email me at bansheeppm[at]hotmail.com .
Also, please, if you have a site and wanna link this, don't do it. Host it in your site instead, since our bandwidth is limited.
That's all, and for more news, head to CnC Unleashed and check the latest News Roundup from Unidentifiedname with almost everything that happened in these recent 10 days in the C&C community sites. Keep up the good job, Uni! Last edited by Banshee on Thu Sep 19, 2013 3:09 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Yea i'v been trying to view the Interface Prototype all day but it says 'Your computer is running low on memeory, quit other programms and try again' QUICK_EDIT
This pics very interesting, from the renegade 2 section, is a merge between the Nod logo and soviet logo, the side is labelled as scavengrs. QUICK_EDIT
Very interesting graphics, but something's wrong with the C&C3 concepts. It all looks too clean and happy-go-lucky to be a sequel to Tiberian Sun _________________
