Supplementing the massed naval action that has started to arise following the rise of CABAL, the commanders of Taskforce Triton have requested the release of more amphibious troop-landing abilities, and the hulking Hover Transport has been the answer to that request. Based on a durable hovering chassis, much like the Hover MLRS, the Hover Transport is capable of transitioning from water to land and back with ease, and allows for the rapid deployment of infantry to any shoreline. They lack the staying power of the larger GDI naval vessels though, and their lack of armament makes them particularly vulnerable to enemy assaults. Commanders are advised to get them on the beaches quickly, and then back over water - and into the safety of the landing force's firing arcs - as soon as possible.

The unit flying above the ground while using the classic rubber skirt hover-tech doesn't look fitting.
Either give it a fantasy hover engine to let it fly
or keep the model and use the drive locomotor with an amphibious movementzone. Using the latter, you could also add a voxel anim and let it very slightly bob up/down while moving or animate a bit the rubber skirt like bending back a bit.

RA2 did it and no-one's complaining...

Interesting idea, I'll play around with it a bit at some point when I have time to tweak. It does of course have its own issues - tilting on terrain slopes, which you don't want for a hovering unit, and then possible clipping issues if you use IsTilter=No to prevent tilting - but it also has potential.

@TAK02
My thoughts exactly #Tongue The GDI Amphibious APC is already pretty much a BTR personnel carrier, might as well tap into more of the Russian amphibious tech for a larger carrier design too.
