You know those lighting objects that you place on a map to get a certain look, is there a way to edit their brightness ?

Also, when it comes to the maps overall lighting, how does the RGB of any paint program translate into FA weird lighting code ?

Don't know why they just didn't use the regular 3 number RGB system.

The code for the light posts are in the rules ini, you can change their brightness by editing the LightIntensity= tag.

Setting the colours to 1.000 is roughly the equivalent of 255 in RGB.

How can this be ?

I put in these RGB settings 171, 122, 171 to give the map a dark purple color as a test.

It then converts it to these settings 171.000000, 122.000000, 171.000000, which then gives the map an extremely bright look with a greenish tint, completely opposite of RGB common color settings.

So this cant be anything like the 3 number RGB system and I don't know what's the name of FA's map lighting system so that I can just go to an online color table to make the conversion.

It's not Hex or HTML, so I have no way of knowing how to change the overall look to what I want without a known conversion table.

I hate when persons try to reinvent the wheel.

Just divide the RGB value by 255 to get roughly equal value for FA2.

Like 171/255 = 0.67
122/255 = 0.478

Thanks E1, it works and I would have never figured that out.

The Only problem is that the color change only affects the ground while buildings, ore and units remain the same.

Do you know what's causing this ?
