Hi Everyone,

(Quick intro: after rediscovering TS and finding out the impressive mods some of you guys made during all these years, I have been lurking these forums for a few months, and modding TS has become a whole new hobby in itself. So thank you for your very inspiring work!
All right... ).

I was wondering how difficult (and time-consuming) would it be to create a graphic renderer which shows scanlines, or a raster effect, during gameplay.

Specifically, for someone who knows nothing about DLLs, EXE hacking, or basically anything related to develop such a thing.

Any advice?  Razz

Try Reshade, it is free postprocessing tool, that can be used almost in any game. It has many effects you can adjust on top of eachother in real-time. Plus if games have directX depth buffer, other effects like shaders, pathtracing, etc. can be used.
But I did managed it to work only with one of the TS renderer, not remember which one.

Thank you.
I tried it and it works with the Direct3D 9 renderer. My only problem with that though, is that D3D doesn't have VSync.

I'll look for a Reshade equivalent which is compatible with DDrawCompact (if it exists).

Otherwise, an ideal solution would be making a clone of DDC, but with scanlines coded in (if that's even possible).
