I tried this before. I made type conversion via IsSimpleDeployer=yes
and Convert.Deploy= I did use the tank of RA3, then deploy to make a barrier and cloaking a units around it. Works perfectly except it is also override the converted tank to have disguise as well even I put disguise=no

But that's okay not a big deal.

Now I tested with another one.
Scud launcher which can be switch between high explosive warhead and anthrax warhead via IsSimpleDeployer the problem is after conversion it is still using the same weapon as the previous so I tested with any other use that use spawn logic will have a same problem such as spawning aircraft, spawning drone etc.

If convert to something very different it works flawlessly such as from scud to apocalypse etc...

So What I did I made the placeholder or something in between a unit that will auto attack and deploytofire maybe this way could get ares to forgot the first tank characteristic. For example from scudhighexp >> grizzly >> scudanthrax. It's still same result.

I wish I could do something about this or if there is otherway to do this trick I would love to hear.

Any helps I can get I would be very appreciated.

Type Conversion doesn't work with Spawners, iirc this has something to do with how the game engine handles this special logic. Temporal, Mind Control and Parasite also have this issue that converted units cannot use them.
