DvD this is the exact type of thread I was talking about in the other forum. This thread creates a "hostile" environment, I know it was not the intent but it is the result. Some of you guys have to let it go. I saw this coming bout a week and a half ago. And I was ticked to see this thread, and jugding from the responses I am very disappointed . Men and women think and act diffrently (in general, natually there are exceptions)
I have never worried about someone knowing I was a guy online. I have a thick skin and its not likely to phase me. For a young lady its diffrent, esp on a mostly male forum. They may not want attention for that reason. They may just want to blend in.
In the other forums I goto we have much more traffic, makes it harder to patrol. We have very few women in the forum because as soon as one show up everyone runs to them. In a short while they stop coming around, they were looking for computer help, or to help others with computers, but not a boyfriend. Unfortunaly a lot of guys dont understand that.
In the chat I m a mod at I have done some well say a "social experiment", this chat being computer chat tends to be 99.999% male. I change my nick to Amanda, I sit and wait. This one time a guy comes in looking for help. I say "I'll help you" Long and short he made small talk the whole time and forgot about his problem. He assumed I was a female, never asked though.( I never lie about my gender, its my prime directive if you will) If I had a male nick or my standard radar92 he would have tried to resovle his issue not hit on me.
Another example is Molly, she came to chat for help with computer questions. Because of her nick she attracted neg attention. She was not very thick skined and left several time. eventually she work with one of us though IM. It really tick me off to see that happen, to help combat that now whe have more chat mods. But the damage was done and we will never see her again and the loss is ours.
Long and short if you dont lknow someones gender let them tell you, dont ask and dont try to get them to say it themself. They may want it unknown, respect that wish. _________________ ph34r the cute ones! QUICK_EDIT

I get your point... but there is no need to worry. She is korean, isnt it? No one will ever come close to her, because most of the people who visits this forum are either north american, british, dutch or australian... Of course there are other isolated exceptions like me (brazilian).
And before anyone think she is the only girl here, I am sure there are others, registered or not that visits or participates or appeared in this forum. Anyway, if anything wrong in this sense happen, I'll take action... _________________

I have no clue where people sit far as male / female to be honest.
You can do alot of damage to a person without even setting foot on thier continent.

I cant speak for anyone, But judging by the response I'd say they were not welcome. I can't speak for the person who started this but with "current events" I felt it was "targeted". well its always better to know about people but on forums with the noobies and stuff its better, to keep it to PM's, it is rare to see female modding talent, so some people don't know how to take it, the only one's i know that are female, is 1 RA2 player and Wildfire who made maps AGES ago.
Perhaps she's afraid we may stop giving constructive critiscism or start saying stupid things.
Also since you know's korean area52, could you post korean related publicly avaliable ra2/ts resource i.e. voxel/shp download sites cos the work over there is superior, basing these assumptions on Alex05 and his mod. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

how old are you denmon, because from your other avatar you dont look that old. which means if your a "normal" kid, you wouldnt date other people more than 1 or 2 years old or younger than you.
and then your girlfriend would be young aswell, which means she would of have to have been doing stuff like programing for a long time, and it is very rarely that you see any person, male or female, who can fully understand and program stuff like half life so young. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
