A month ago (before the end of the year), we've started a big set of polls to find out what was the public's favourite mod hosted here, released in 2004. The three candidates were: Tiberian Sun Retro 1.21 (released in January), Return Of The Dawn 2.3 (released in November) and Tiberian Sun: Total War 1.05 (released in November).

We didn't had many comments, so I had to give a higher priority to votes. Comments were used as secondary rating to avoid ties, but we still had two ties with Best Defensive Sides and Tactical Sides, so I'm counting each as 0.5 prizes.

Tiberian Sun Retro 1.21, where so much has been done to improve the presentation of the units and animations, has only been recognized by its voxels. Return Of The Dawn 2.3 has received many votes for its UI presentation and SHPs. Nod has also got 3 prizes related to side design (sharing 2 with TSTW). RotD also got prizes for the new terrain set, most original tweak and ballance.

The winner of the year was Tiberian Sun: Total War 1.05, with 11 prizes, but since 2 were shared, we are counting 10 prizes. AI is certainly the best thing of the mod by far. The new maps also  got a prize. The DvD's work with particles, animations and voxel debris gave it 3 prizes, including the best superweapon: Ion Cannon. The new Cabal side has gained 2 prizes (sharing one with RotD's Nod) and TSTW's Nod has gained another prized (shared with RotD's Nod). The huge Mammoth Mk2 was the reason to all Retro improved units and buildings be ignored. The good AI has also guaranteed the prize for the best Gameplay, even with RotD winning on the ballance category with ease.
