I am currently making a mod which sets the human military against the alien species off the films but I have somequestions.
1.Is it legal?
2.Will anyone help me make the shps and weapons?
3.Would it make a good mod?

Awhile ago I read somewhere someone was working on an aliens versus pred mod for RA2, not sure if its dead or not...

well, modding in general isn't but in a sense of having a dreaded copyright infringment notice, as far as that happening...doubt that.  Confused

Depends, on effort and creativity, how well you depict Aliens versus Humans. If you really want to go for it, I would like to see Aliens, in a RTS environment.

The avp mod is made by mellor. I think you shoud make it

Well here are some ideas.
Pulse rifle infantry,when elite they use grenade launchers like the films.
Smartguners have the titan lock on beam.
Dropship,APC,Exo suit and a SMART tank can be built as vehicles.
Flamethrower troops can be trained.
Synthetics can be trained and are unaffected by face huggers.
Rocket soldiers can be trained.
The Construction yard  for the marines will be an atmosphere proccessor.
Acidic aliens can be trained.
Mandible aliens and burrowers are new and also the locust alien.
The alien construction yard is a queen which deploys into hive.
The alien barracks is an egg sack.More things to come and hopefully screenies.

interesting, getting ideas from the alien toy lines?

Confused How exactly are facehuggers going to work?

any chance found a way to implement the alien life cycle?

Will predators make an apperance?....and what about xenoborgs, and predaliens lol... Wink  gotta love those xenomorphs.

Also, what game is this mod for?  Laughing

Tiberian Sun is what its for,with the face huggers I'm stumped unless there is a way to use the viscroid logic in a weapon and turn it into a chestbusrter.I have deployable eggs which turn into a facehugger but that is it and I have the APC and Dropship but can't remember where I downloaded them from.

now its up to you, to get a Aliens mod out.. I would aide you, as I have a fondness towards anything regarding xenomorphs, but I have my own creation in the works.

Well for anyone who is interested in this mods proggress,I have a another screenie not much difference but I now have the SMART tank fully working,it fires a long range large missile with a wide blast zone however it has a long reload time.The mod itself is coming along VERY nicely.
P.S Still in desperate need of people to help me with this mod!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone interested in this mods devolpment PLEASE post bk.

The APC isn't black in the film.
And they are meant to be fairly large,so they are to scale with the film.
The colours of the vehicles in the film are dark military green.Watch it and you shall see.
P.S I watched very recently so I should know.

You said you played every game? They are found in AVP, sadded to see them gone in AVP2. Well...anyways,

Xenoborgs are

Half cyborg Aliens, their arms are fused with a laser that kills anything almost instantly.

One of the scariest things to find plaything that game, just after the facehugger.

Cool,I never finshed the first it was VERY hard.I'm
still playing AVP2 now,which is easier but jumpy if you play as the marines.
