I'd just like to point out that pd (also known as PaD) has released a new patch. You can have an uber cell spread, periodically (doesn't work all the time yet) load sidecd03.mix for Yuri's UI and the coolest feature: Generate desert maps with Random Map Generator.

Yep, it took me 4 hours. WW was too lazy to create an algorithm to calculate the number of cells affected, so they just made an array with a length of 11. Yep, now it also creates wonderful Urban and Desert maps for you.
What's up with New Urban and Lunar?
Well, since no civilian buildings are placed on random maps (except tech buildings), Urban and NewUrban don't make much sense for random maps.
To save work, I just included Urban, I would have to write special codes to disable it. NewUrban was taken out at all, it doesn't look much different from Temperate.
Lunar causes an internal error when creating random maps. Why? Because there's no water the RMG could place.

Besides, I changed several things on this homepage as you may notice viewing the sidebar.
The tutorials aren't included in the patch pack anymore, but available on the Tutorial page.




I'm posting this here instead of the main page because people don't want news about it spreaded in bug sites... It's a kind of risk, since patching the exe is  considered reverse engineering, which is more ilegal than modding.

I have always wanted the third sidbar set to function properly!

I wonder if tow other small changes would be possible?

1) Allowing different planes to be used for different Paradrops
2) Un-hardcoding the Spyplane's camera, so that it will allow players to make an Airstrike if they wish to.

But he dissassembles the exe file. You guys just viewed it in hex mode and couldn't understand how does it work.

Dropship loadout  is prolly a bit too much to ask; the amount of supporting logic that it would require is considerable.
Note that I'm referring to full Dropship Loadout logic, usable in MP. The Dropship is already workable in SP (see Deezire's Tiberian mod).

Smaller tweaks, like a higher unit cap, or a replacement for the spyplane's camera (allowing it to be modded into an airstrike for example) would be more feasable requests IMO.
