well one and only annoying problem in ts/fs is engine that often (at least at me) does NOT show all animations:

so i play game and i hear explosions, i see projectiles but i dont see explosion, i dont see warhead anims, i dont see smokes and all that things... but those anim's show from time to time...

now dunno if this can be fixed at all since no support exist for ts but maybe i can get some advises from you ?

Well I know for sure it happens when you have the 'reveal all map' crate bonus..

I hate the way the game doesn't play all of the sounds. I wish that could be fixed.

Yes, i used to have the tiberium tree problem on my previous pc... Now with my new one I don't have that problem but another, way more annoying problem; the game slows down to a crawl when buying cheap buildings..

then obviously TS engine has some bugs with graphic cards...
for example:
on 1st pc i had S3 Trio 3d and i didnt have those anim bugs
on 2nd pc i had S3 Savage 4 pro, i had bugs
on current pc i have GeForce 4, and i have bugs #Tongue

Yeah it's odd, you would expect TS to run *quite* smooth on an Athlon64 with lots of RAM and a new Geforce...for some odd reason it ran faster on my old pc =)

maybe it isnt so odd, as i was viewing some test in 1 magasine with compariosn between win2k/xp and win9x/me run on faster and slower cpu's

results was that win9x/me run faster on 500-800Mhz than on 1Ghz+
while xp/2k slower on older cpu's...

well TS was actually made in 1998/99 and its engine was mostly "optimised" for those time's speeds so there ya go #Tongue

I always had a problem (not as such but it is a problem in some way or another) where building anything would slow the game slightly. I assume it is because of the new layer it places on top of cameos (gclock.shp or whatever it is) and it requires a bit of CPU power to render that for all cameos. It's barely noticeable on my laptop though, but it was quite obvious on my old P4.

I think it has to do with there being a limit to the speed the gclock.shp can animate (for SOME reason). While forcing this limit the whole game has to slow down. This also explains why the slowdown is worse with cheaper buildings.

(it's odd it doesn't happen with units)

lol...
i finnaly figured out why does game dont show anims...

yes, as you DvD said it happens if get reveal all crate or using map reveal trainer...

it seems that even if everything is revealed (no matter if you got crate or used trainer) game still treats terrain as shrouded Sad

this is sad... so only thing ppl can do is to go with unit(s) thru map to "reveal" it altho itz already revealed....

this is sad...
still cant understand why they left so many bugs in game...
i mean WS existed untill 2003 and FS was released in 2000
and 2.03 patch was released in May 31, 2000

uhh thatz 2 and half years  Sad
