Ares got updated to 3.0p1 which mostly fixes bugs. It can be downloaded here, and here's the changelog:

For some reason, this version wasn't announced when it was released which is why we didn't know until now.

I have very little hope that AlexB will  return with Ares 4.0 with much more possibilities...I just want to believe myself.
