How can I add new SuperWeapons for RA2/Yuri's Revenge
How can I add new SuperWeapons for RA2/Yuri's Revenge, Im adding at least 8 new superweapons for Yuri's Revenge and I cant get them to work at all, so I was wondering if you guys could give me alittle help on how to to do that, or if you could send me a tutorial on how to add new superweapons for Yuri's Revenge.

SWs are hardcoded so you can't ad new ones or clone the existing ones. There are possibilities that you can imitate SWs (just like what Deezire did). You can only change the existing ones thru code and animations. For example: The Weather Storm can be made into Ion cannon or Ion Storm by replacing the thunderbolts with ion beam, and then have it strike at only one place and only once (depending on designer). You can find many resources at different sites (here also) regarding sW. But then they aren't new. They are just edited or imitated SW. _________________ Evil comes only upon the weak! QUICK_EDIT
That's a half truth, Gilbear. You can clone superweapons and add new ones too (referenece DeeZire's last version of his mod) but the problems lies in targeting and getting the new weapon to show a charge timer/sidebar.
You'll probably have to use Psycho's Fakes method. It looks like one and works pretty well. _________________

There are a lot of better methods which rely on Ares since. Ares is indeed the best method for new innovative SW's. Or clones, or modifications etc.
That said, this information can still be helpful to those trying to mod vanilla without patches or exe hacks, or injecting in new code.
There was a time years ago i use to make vanilla map mods, which sometimes included cloned sw's home brew ones etc.
Also while it might be retarded to choose such methods over current "standards of doing things", I think knowing the game limitations and engine are important, and are somewhat dying in the community, seeking knowledge is not ever really retarded.
But bumping an old thread, is retarded start a new one next time. Someone will try and help you, or search, as the questions you seek have been discussed to death already in the old forum threads of yesteryear.
@Graion, I too hate to see people go down the wrong path, but don't jump to conclusions either. Any route which lets a modder learn and grow is good, while Ares is indeed fantastic, and probably the only reason i still mod ra2, having people ask questions and learn the basics is also good.
