Welcome,
I am looking for some modifications to Red Alert 2,
I had played in these modifications for a long time,
But I lost this version of the game and searched for it a lot on the internet and could not find it..
The modifications were some additions to the units and buildings.
I remember that there was a monkey, a cow, a crocodile and a red giant ants..
Giant ants were impossible to kill and were very powerful.
Here are some pictures I got from the internet for these units.

I don't know if this is a mod or just a file modification for "Rules.INI"

I searched a lot on the net to no avail,
I would be very grateful for any help...

The animals are already in the game but aren't buildable by the player, you can enable them by editing the rules(md).ini file. The Giant Ant is converted from RA1, which you can do yourself or look for one to download (I can't fine one with a quick search tho).

Many different mod add these units so it's not possible to say which one you are looking for without any more information.

maybe someone else saw some mods like that or he know how i can modify Rules.ini to get thoses units..

hisoka, hello and sorry!
You asked about giant ant and how to edit rulesmd.ini to ,,get" those units...
here is what I have now, check this thread and you will find giant ant https://ppmforums.com/topic-62411/halloween-edits-pack-3/

Perhaps there is also example rules in the pack, check it.

Now, how to add your own unit.
Lets just say for example, you want to add monkey for Yuri side, to shoot an electric weapon like tesla trooper.

1. Open rulesmd.ini, Search for [JOSH] (since it is internal name for monkey, use ctrl+f).
2. Then copy paste whole section of it, paste it somewhere in the rulesmd.ini of course.
3. You must type your name, since one name ID cannot be twice. Type for example [MONKEY] instead of [JOSH] but do not forget to add  line Image=JOSH so it can use same shp file.
4. You need to set up so your new monkey can be trained by Yuri Barracks. CHange its TechLevel=-1 to TechLevel=2 for example, or anything from 1 to 10 since -1 will remove icon. Then add a new line Prerequisite=YABRCK so it can be trained once you built yuri barracks. Or Prerequisite=YABRCK,NAPSIS once you build both barracks and psychic sensor.
5. Setting up the weapon. Go to Primary=ChimpBite and change it to Primary=ElectricBolt and remove Secondary=VirtualScanner since it does not need one now.
6. You can change Cost, Speed, Sight, and Strenght as you wish. Strength=200 there, those are hit points.
7. DO not forget to add MONKEY to the first free number in [InfantryTypes] list! For example 95=MONKEY or it wont work.

Here you go, you have new animal shooting tesla weapon. You can alter in that way your own weapon or other units.

This is very useful to me, I have successfully created a monkey unit  Very Happy  ,
But for the giant ants, I think you sent me another link by mistake.

No, I am a moderator at that group (19,2 thousand members). And I have an educational blog about it.  And I wrote researches on university about that subject.
