How does AmbientDamage get applied by FireballLauncher?
FireballLauncher has AmbientDamage set to 2. The "FireStream" particle also has Damage=2. As I would expect from the railgun-type weapons, AmbientDamage would be applied instantly to all targets in a line between the firer and the target. Is that what happens for the FireballLauncher (and other weapons coded like it) as well? I.e. is 2 damage dealt to all targets in a line instantly, and then additional damage is dealt by the particles when the fire stream hits the target? Or is the AmbientDamage applied whenever the particle system of the weapon has contact with the target? Is it applied at all, or is the FireballLauncher's damage dealt only by its particles?
Also, are there any differences in this to RA2/YR/Ares? I assume there are not? QUICK_EDIT
It doesn't and is ignored by FireStream.
It's a mistake made by WW. (or a code leftover from an earlier different working weapon)
AmbientDamage works only on Railguns and Disruptor/IsSonic
FireStream like all other particlesystems do the damage on the particle and ignore anything set on the weapon itself. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
